The Women of Quail Creek Community Outreach Committee collected almost 900 items and $1,130 in gift cards to support Hope Rising Arizona. In addition, we recently received another $1,000 donation. The committee wants to convey our sincerest thanks to our Quail Creek residents for your generous gifts.
Their executive director sends his thanks as well:
“The supplies and gift cards your community donated are invaluable to our survivor residents. The personal self-care items and toiletries allow our residents to not have to spend what little money they have on simple, everyday care items. They can manage their budgets to purchase items that aren’t just needs, but items that they desire and that help restore their dignity. Instead of purchasing toothpaste, they can shop for items like specific make-up, nail polish, or other items that make them feel special. Additionally, the gift cards are so important in helping restore their value, worth, and personal choice in that they are able to go to the store and choose new shoes or clothing rather than having to always choose from pre-worn, donated clothing.
