Hello from the ALC Department

Karen Bartlett, ALC Supervisor

We’ve certainly been surprised by the unusually warm, record-breaking weather—it feels as though we skipped right over spring and went straight into summer. Time to break out the water and sunscreen!

With the warmer temperatures, those pesky weeds are already out in force. They seem especially hardy this season and are requiring a bit of extra attention. For residents who are leaving for the season or heading out on vacation, please be sure your landscaper is checking your yard regularly for weed growth. We truly don’t enjoy sending weed notices any more than you enjoy receiving them.

While we’re on the topic of landscaping, we kindly ask that you keep “line of sight” in mind when trimming bushes and trees. Please ensure landscaping is maintained in a way that allows for a clear, unobstructed view when exiting your driveway. Additionally, front yard rock and granite can quickly become covered with debris from surrounding plants and trees—both your own and your neighbors’. Taking a few minutes to have this debris blown off can make a significant difference in overall appearance.

A big thank you to everyone who has been proactive in submitting permits for garage door painting. The garage door audit will begin the first full week of April, and notices will be sent to homeowners whose doors may need a fresh coat of paint due to fading.

We thank you for maintaining these standards that helps preserve the aesthetics, property values, and overall quality of our community
