Karen Bartlett, ALC Supervisor
Oh no, it’s here! Weed season has begun! The rain and warm weather is encouraging an early start. Applying a pre-emergent herbicide now can help prevent weeds from sprouting and significantly reduce maintenance issues later in the season. Taking this proactive step can help keep your landscape in compliance and avoid courtesy notices.
Many residents enjoy relaxing on their patios while taking in views of the golf course or surrounding open space. You may be tempted to enhance these views with additional cacti, agave, decorative plants, solar lighting, or birdfeeders. Please be advised that placing any items or making alterations in the Common Areas is a violation of the ALC Guidelines
As stated in ALC Guidelines, 4.10 Violation B: Common Area Violations:
The removal or trimming of trees and/or plants, or the alteration of the ground in any manner within these areas is strictly prohibited and may result in a fine of up to one thousand ($1,000) dollars. In addition, the Property Owners Association shall have the damage corrected and restored at the property owner’s expense. The violator will be required to remove all prohibited materials (See CC&R Article 1.9).
Additionally, please note that the ALC will be conducting a garage door audit in late March and early April. As you enter or exit your driveway, take a moment to assess the condition of your garage door. Is it sun-faded or looking tired? Time to freshen up? Permit applications are available (at no charge) on the Quail Creek HOA website or at the Administration office. Reminder notices will also be published in What’s Happening.
The ALC office is located by the dog park in the Administration building at 904 N. Quail View Loop. Stop in anytime Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., call us at 520-393-5803, or email qcalc@robson.com. Both Victoria Liebrand and I are always happy to answer your questions or concerns.
