The Lady Putters made the start of the new year extra-special for the Green Valley Food Bank. Even though the club knew that many members would be traveling over the holidays, they decided to hold their usual Wednesday putting events on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve. They asked those who were still at Quail Creek to bring donations of peanut butter and ingredients to make cakes (cake mixes, frosting, sprinkles, sugar) when they came to putt. The ladies were still in the giving mood, as they donated 38 pounds of food and $350 in cash, some of which came from the club’s checking account.
