Fundraiser planned for Neighbors Helping Neighbors – March 18

Peggy McGee

Valley Assistance Services (VAS), is working with the critically acclaimed filmmaker, Frances Causey, who will premiere her film The Long Shadow to raise funds for the Tubac Regional Neighbors Helping Neighbors Program, the newest VAS Program.

This latest VAS program helps those living in Amado (Santa Cruz), Tubac, Tumacacori and Carmen with transportation and provides friendly visits. Transportation can be from the Tubac area south to Nogales and North to Tucson for grocery shopping and medical appointments.

After the movie, there will be an opportunity for a Q and A with Ms. Causey and a tour of the Historic Kenyon Ranch. Tickets at $35 per person are available at Jane’s Attic and The Goods in Tubac as well as at Valley Assistance Services, 3950 S. Camino del Heroe in The Springs in Green Valley. Wine and cheese are included in the ticket price. Please buy your tickets soon as seating is limited.

To reserve tickets by email, please contact Sherry Mullens [email protected], Claire McJunkin [email protected] or Chris Erickson, RN 635-5966.
