On Sept. 30 the Quail Creek dog park (both the passive and active side) closed for overseeding. This process involves lowering the height of the mower, reseeding, and watering the new lawn until maturity. Once completed, dog park users will enjoy a green winter lawn. Residents will be notified when the dog park reopens after the first cut of the new lawn. The length of the closure does depend on weather conditions. Additional information will be provided as time draws closer to the projected reopening date, which will be close to the end of October. Thank you for your patience during the closure.
At the same time, the common area turf will be overseeded, with no foot traffic (or paw traffic) allowed. This includes the medians, the lawn near the Canyon Club, the lawn at the Quail Creek monument, the lawn in 35b, the clubhouse, the driving range, and the first four-way stop.
