Carol Smith
David Schapira, Candidate for Arizona Superintendent of Public Education, and State Senator Andrea Dalessandro, will be the speakers at the June 16 meeting of the Democratic Club of Quail Creek at 3:00 p.m. in the Ocotillo Room, Kino Conference Center.
Mr. Schapira has a Master’s Degree in Education from ASU. He began his career as a high school teacher and later taught at ASU. The last four years he has worked as a high school administrator at the East Valley Institute of Technology.
Mr. Schapira also serves as a member of the Tempe City Council. Prior to the Tempe City Council, he served in the Arizona House of Representatives and as Minority Leader in the State Senate and served on the Education Committee.
Senator Dalessandro represents State Legislative District 2. She has been named a State Director for Women in Government, received an “A” grade from the Sierra Club and is most proud of the 100 percent perfect rating on “Who’s for Kids and Who’s Just Kidding.” The Senator serves on the Judiciary, Water and Energy and Financial Institutions Committees.
