Cutting the Cord (TV, not Internet)

Joyce Shumate

On April 18 at 7 p.m. in the Madera clubhouse Crystal Ballroom, Steve Sanford, a QC resident, will discuss the availability of alternatives to cable, the decision-making process for cable cutting, and the other options and how to get them.

Are you paying more than $100 for cable or satellite TV and still feel there is nothing to watch? Are you mostly watching the local news, TV shows, and sometimes a movie? Learn how you can still watch local news and TV shows and have many more options for so much less.

It’s 2023 and streaming. For those who have cut the cord to your cable or satellite, that’s great. You know how much you save. But for anyone looking at alternatives to cable TV and wondering if cutting the cord is worth it, come to this QC Computer Club general meeting to learn more about how to cut the cord.

We understand that even the thought of getting rid of your trusty cable box may feel confusing, especially with so many different options available. However, there has never been a better time to cut the cable cord and get all the shows and movies you love.

This informative presentation will be 40 to 45 minutes, plus time for Q&A. The presentation is open to all QC residents. We look forward to seeing you there.
