Computer Club Presents ‘What Is GroupWorks?’

The Quail Creek Computer Club will be having a session entitled “What Is GroupWorks?” presented by Quail Creek resident Bill Foraker.

GroupWorks is a free, web-based, club management platform that simplifies member email communications, streamlines event scheduling, and can collect and track payments, dues, and fees. GroupWorks was designed for seniors, so it is made just for us!

When Bill Foraker started using GroupWorks in Unit 22 in early 2019, there were two groups using the app. Currently, there are 49 GroupWorks groups in Quail Creek, and 40 of them have over 10 members.

Bill has offered more than 30 sessions introducing GroupWorks to QC residents. He offers sessions to users and to group leaders. In his experience over the almost four years of use, he has received no spam, unwanted contacts, or unsolicited ads from anyone. The policies in place for GroupWorks (Website Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, Community Guidelines, and Cookies Policy) are all typical of similar web services and have caused users no problem to this point in time.

This session will provide an introduction to GroupWorks for anyone interested in a simpler way to manage groups. The session will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 18, at 7 p.m. in the Crystal Ballroom at the Madera clubhouse and is open to all Quail Creek residents.
