Come Join Us—Caring Hearts and Hands of Quail Creek

Connie Vaughan

Caring Hearts and Hands of Quail Creek (CHHQC) would like to introduce ourselves and invite returning residents and new homeowners to check us out and join our organization.

We are a group of caring, compassionate, and patriotic resident men and women who work together to assist, support, and help military families, at-risk youths in Pima County, and underserved South Tucson students (kindergarten through high school). And we have great fun and camaraderie working on projects, taking field trips to our charities, and celebrating birthdays at our monthly meetings!

Do you like to color? Well, we are the club for you. Our hand-made cards are created and colored for all sorts of occasions and sold at the Fall Festival Craft Fair (Nov. 7 to 8) and through our website. We offer 698 unique cards! Proceeds from the sale of our Greeting Cards goes to support the groups we service.

Love the holidays? Our members create a giving tree with a tag for each child’s gift wishes and provide our residents with a way to donate. Then our elves pack up the gifts and deliver them to LAPAN, a philanthropic organization for underserved South Tucson children.

What about Fashion? Come join us planning our Annual Fashion Show which occurs in late February to support disadvantaged youth in the YOTO (Youth On Their Own) Program. Perhaps you enjoy party decorating, even modeling or just being an extra pair of hands.

Shopping? For our Annual Military Baby Shower, we shop for baby clothes and shower gift items, along with getting donations from the community. Then we create welcoming Baby Shower Baskets and hold a Military Baby Shower at the 162nd Morris National Guard Base in Tucson on Armed Forces Day (Saturday, May 15, 2027).

We meet every second Thursday of the month in the Mesquite Conference Room from 10 a.m. to noon. And after the meeting we go to lunch at the Grill (of course optional).
