If you do nothing else for yourself this spring, you have got to find time to come and see Ken Ludwig’s hilarious comedy Moon Over Buffalo April 24, 25 and 26 at the Madera Clubhouse. The lines of this well written play alone would have you in stitches, but add to that the superb delivery of the lines by members of the Quail Creek Performing Arts Guild and you won’t be able to stop laughing either. Directors Paul White and Karen Doyle have done an outstanding job blocking the scenes and guiding the actors to achieve the maximum effect for the audience while producer Ellen Savitz has taken care of all the details for the production. To add to your viewing enjoyment, cabaret seating will be used so you and five of your best friends can gather around the table, kick back and enjoy the show. Ticket sales have gone extremely well but if you are one of those who missed all the sale dates, you can still purchase tickets by calling Ellen Savitz at 207-7482. Tickets are still only $15 (nonrefundable) and can be purchased with cash or check. The show starts at 7:00 p.m. with the bar opening at 6:00 p.m. Plan to leave the ballroom exhausted from laughter once this fast paced, zany comedy is over.

George (Davey Jones) and his wife Charlotte (Diana Paul) are in Buffalo New York doing repertory theater alternating between Cyrano De Bergerac and Noel Coward’s Private Lives. Their manager Paul (Jeff Webster) has his work cut out for himself trying to ensure all actors are in the correct costume and doing lines from the right play, trying to deal with the pregnant actress Eileen (Dodie Prescott) and their lawyer Richard (Steve Otrosa) who is in love with Charlotte. George and Charlotte’s daughter Roz (Sandy Boyer) has given up the theater to lead a normal (?) life but just how normal will it be when her meteorologist fiancé Howard (Ray Hebert) ends up bound and gagged in the closet and later appears in a General Patton uniform waving a gun? Don’t ask Charlotte’s mother Ethel (MC Kollschegg) to explain what is going on because she is pretty deaf, at least when she wants to be. Add a visit from Frank Capra and you have the makings of a side splitting, old fashioned farce you’ll thoroughly enjoy.
