“Begin with the End in Mind” Workshop April 2

Admittedly, making “final” preparations is a difficult topic for many people. However, addressing this in advance can greatly reduce the amount of stress already inherent in such a life-changing event. To that end, Partners Losing Partners Outreach (PLPO) serves not only surviving spouses or partners but also has expanded its mission to help Quail Creek residents know what they should do to have affairs in order before someone passes.

Due to considerable interest by our residents, PLPO is offering our free “Begin with the End in Mind” workshop two times a year. The “End” is the development of a plan by the conclusion of the workshop that will give hands-on guidance for organizing and maintaining critical documents and information that can help family, companion caregivers, and others to ensure all affairs are in order. This process can be overwhelming, but having a plan to prepare in advance can reduce the unavoidable stress that comes when someone does pass.

The next workshop will be held on April 2 in the Ocotillo-Mesquite Rooms. Check-in is at 9:30 a.m., with the program beginning at 10 a.m. and running until approximately 12:15 p.m. Registration will be through Bobbi Gordon by email at ogbg@sbcglobal.net. Space is limited to only 50 participants.
