The Quail Creek Ballroom Dance Club is looking forward to another exciting dance season for 2016/17. This year club members will experience the styles and menus of award winning restaurants in North America. If you have considered joining the club and would like a taste of being a member, you are welcome to attend any of the dinner/dances as guests. You can join us to socialize with friends and neighbors, enjoy wonderful gourmet meals and listen to big band music in the Crystal Ballroom at the Madera Clubhouse.
The new season begins on December 14 at Edible Canada on Granville Island in Vancouver, British Columbia. Dance to the sounds of the Tom Patrick Band while enjoying the best offerings from coast to coast with a strong focus on British Columbia’s culinary artisans.
January 25, 2017 finds the club at the Swank and Swine Restaurant in the Paramount Hotel in Portland, Oregon. We will enjoy delicious fresh local flavors of the Pacific Northwest while dancing to the Lonny Lynn Orchestra.
On February 15 the Myron Sommerfield Orchestra will play as members appreciate the best in southern hospitality and Creole cooking from The Court of Two Sisters in the heart of the French Quarter in New Orleans, Louisiana. The professional Utah Ballroom Dancers will be here again for Dancing with the Quail Creek Stars and will join us this evening for the dinner and dancing.
Finally, dine on traditional Mexican cuisine from the La Tequila Cocina in Guadalajara, Mexico on March 15 and dance to our wonderful local Green Valley Stage Band.
This gastronomic tour has been planned by Food and Beverage Chair Lynda Eckebrecht in conjunction with Executive Chef Aris Cabrera and Director of Banquets Epi Torres. The wonderful dance music for the evenings has been arranged by Music Director Steve Otrosa.
