Is it still Taco Night if instead of taco shells you use wonton-wrapped taco cups?

At In My Kitchen on Aug. 12, hosted by Pam Hartwell-James, the answer apparently was a resounding, “Yes!”

Wonton-wrapped taco cups turned out to be the perfect appetizer for a fun twist on Taco Night. They were easily made in a cupcake pan and could be finished off with any of your favorite taco toppings.

And we do like having topics along with our tacos. The topic of this August luncheon was, appropriately enough, “What’s your favorite summertime pastime?” So, there was lots of talk about favorite summer drinks (Margaritas, anyone?) as well as what makes for good summer reading.

And, of course, “If you could go anywhere on vacation, where would you go?” Interestingly, several ladies agreed that just being here at Quail Creek feels like a vacation!
