Find Your Flow: Continuous 12-Week Tai Chi Series at the Anza Athletic Club

Begins Wednesday, Nov. 4. Registration Opens Oct. 14.

What Is Tai Chi? Tai Chi is a gentle, low-impact form of exercise that combines slow, intentional movements, controlled breathing, balance, and focused attention. Often described as “meditation in motion,” Tai Chi encourages you to move with control and awareness while connecting the mind and body. The flowing movements can be adapted to different fitness levels and are designed to help improve balance, coordination, mobility, flexibility, and overall body awareness.

Why a 12-Week Series? Tai Chi is more than a class, it is a practice that develops over time. Our new 12-week continuous Tai Chi series is designed to give participants the consistency, instruction, and ongoing practice needed to build skills and experience the long-term benefits of Tai Chi.

Throughout the 12 weeks, participants will work together as a dedicated group to learn and complete a Tai Chi form while improving balance, flexibility, coordination, body awareness, concentration, and relaxation. Because the group remains together for the entire series, students can progress at a steady pace without stopping to accommodate new beginners.

Why Commit to 12 Weeks? The benefits of Tai Chi build with regular, consistent practice. A 12-week series allows you to reinforce movements, develop better body awareness, and gradually improve balance, coordination, mobility, and confidence. Rather than learning something new each week and moving on, you’ll have the opportunity to repeat, refine, and build upon what you have learned.

Consistent Tai Chi practice may also support better balance and stability, improved posture and mobility, increased concentration, stress reduction, relaxation, and greater confidence with everyday movement. Over time, the combination of mindful movement and repetition can help make Tai Chi a lasting part of your wellness routine.

A Commitment to Yourself and the Group. When you register for this series, you are making a commitment to attend all 12 classes. Consistent attendance is important because each class builds upon the previous one, and your participation also contributes to the continuity and progress of the entire group.

Registration opens Oct. 14. You may use your Anza Fitness Punch Card to participate, or purchase a punch card at the Anza desk. The series begins Wednesday, Nov. 4 and is held weekly every Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Acacia room with Marty Finklestein Certified Tai Chi Instructor.

Make the commitment, show up for yourself, and discover what consistent Tai Chi practice can do for your body, mind, and overall well-being!
