The Greater Green Valley Community Foundation is proud to introduce Shine Forward Southern Arizona (SFSAz)—a bold new initiative designed to transform how our region gives, connects, and cares for the causes that hold our communities together.
Shine Forward launches now as a year-round regional initiative, beginning with a special giving campaign that runs through Nov. 30—one that unites individual donors, corporations, and philanthropists with the nonprofits working every day to meet urgent local needs. From food security and housing to education, health, animal care, environment and the arts, Southern Arizona’s nonprofits are the often-unseen backbone of our community. SFSAz is here to make sure they’re seen, supported, and sustained.
Why Now?
Those who call Southern Arizona home don’t fully know the breadth of services nonprofits provide— or how easy it can be to get involved. At the same time, nonprofits often struggle to build the kind of long-term donor relationships that keep their programs alive year after year. SFSAz was created to close that gap.
This isn’t just a fundraising event. It’s a movement to build lasting bridges between the people who give and the organizations that serve. By coordinating a single, region-wide giving month, SFSAz will demonstrate the extraordinary power of collective action—showing what’s possible when thousands of donors and dozens of nonprofits move together, toward the same goal, at the same time.
