Terri “Moon” Boswell, Administrative Officer, VHA Office of Tribal Health, will kick off the Green Valley Chapter’s Military Officers Association of America fall programs with a luncheon on Thursday, Sept. 24, at American Legion Post 66, 1560 W Duval Mine Rd. in Green Valley. Doors will open at 11:30 a.m. and lunch will be served at noon. This is the presentation that was originally scheduled for Jan. 21, 2026.
Ms. Boswell joined the VHA Deputy Under Secretary for Health, Office of Tribal Health (OTH), on Sept. 10, 2023. She came out of retirement to join the OTH Staff in fulfilling their mission of connecting healthcare and culture through partnership, respect and understanding. She has more than 20 years of federal service as HR Director, DOD (Navy), VA, and IHS. Moon is a citizen of the Potawatomi Nation and participates regularly in Traditional Ceremonies.
Moon raised a daughter and two stepsons while living in Alaska. Her children remain there to this day. She currently resides in Tucson.
The menu will feature beef tips with portobello mushrooms in gravy served with mashed potatoes. A vegetarian option will be offered upon request. Both options include dessert. The cost for the luncheon is $15. The deadline for reservations is Sept. 21.
