The Women of Quail Creek (TWOQC) On-the-Go group attended “An Evening with the University of Arizona School of Dance” at CPAC, on March 6.
The University of Arizona School of Dance takes their students on the road to expose them to communities around Tucson. Our on-the-go group was fortunate enough to experience their dynamic performance. The students, under the direction of Duane Cyrus, introduced us to a variety of dance styles, including improv, modern and traditional ballet.
The evening ended with a meet-and-question session with the young performers. The students were from all over the United States, many working on double majors at the University. What a joy to hear from these students in their early careers of dance!
Before the event, we enjoyed conversation and a delightful dinner of Chinese and Japanese choices from Sushi Lin’s Restaurant right in the heart of Green Valley.
It was delightful to see this dance event right in our very own backyard!
