January marks the start of the Winter-Spring semester for OLLI (Osher Lifelong Learning Institute) at the University of Arizona. OLLI is one of Green Valley’s happy places where there are no tests, no grades, just the joy of learning. OLLI classes are held in person at the Community Performing Art Center (CPAC), 1250 West Continental Road, and at the U of A Campus in Tucson, as well as online and at special on-site locations such as Madera Canyon.
We expect about 50 classes to be offered at the CPAC campus, with another 50 or so offered at the Tucson campus and more online. The classes will extend from January through March of 2026. To view the entire listing of classes, please visit olli.arizona.edu. The site will give not only the class schedule but details costs (very reasonable), how to sign up and schedule classes, and even how to teach if you are interested.
Classes include a wide range of topics, including economics, U.S. history, travel experiences and tips, basic sciences, writing, and how to excel in card games. My instructors for the past semester included a local hiker, a hospice worker, a Pima County Community College instructor, and a University Distinguished Professor of Geosciences, Planetary Sciences, Hydrology & Atmospheric Sciences, and Applied Math—quite a title. With such a wide range of topics, I’m sure you will find at least three or four topics of interest.
Don’t miss this opportunity to enrich yourself.
