The Let’s Travel Club has numerous trips planned, along with a monthly meeting that features informative presentations. All meetings take place on the third Friday of each month at 2 p.m. in the Kino Center’s Ocotillo and Mesquite Rooms.

In November, we are thrilled to host Elyce and Mike Haber, the esteemed owners of Dream Vacations, as our featured presenters. “Travel Tips and Items You Might Need.” To show their appreciation for your attendance, there will be several exciting giveaways and fantastic travel-related prizes that can enhance your future journeys.
Join us in December for Sonoran Magic of Green Valley, featuring Melina Mera, who started this small crystal business in 2021. Melina will discuss the impact of gems and minerals on our lives.
In January, we are delighted to host Mike and Cheryl LaBaw, owners of World Travel Agency, LLC, Quail Creek residents, and founding members of the Let’s Travel Club. They will present information on “Solo Travelers” and more.
Upcoming Trips and Tours:
On Nov. 11 several Let’s Travel Club members will embark on a tour of downtown Tucson and El Presidio, hosted by Scott Darlage of Strolls and Stories Tours and organized by Linn Myrick. An optional lunch will also be available at El Charro Café.
Linn Myrick is also offering a day trip on Nov. 17 to the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum, which includes lunch. Prepare to be captivated by the Raptor Free Flight Show, the museum’s Stingray Touch Experience, and much more!
Join Joyce Shumate and other Let’s Travel Club members on Dec. 12 for an exclusive day trip to two iconic Arizona landmarks: Frank Lloyd Wright’s Taliesin West (a UNESCO World Heritage site) and the historic Wrigley Mansion. This special event includes transportation in a Mercedes Sprinter.
Join Joyce Shumate and Melina Mera, shop owner of Sonoran Magic of Green Valley, on an educational tour of the Tucson Gem & Mineral Show. This tour is for Let’s Travel Club members and is planned for either January or February of 2026. Further details will be provided soon.
Scheduled for August, 2026, in collaboration with Mike and Cheryl LaBaw of World Travel Agency, Joyce Shumate is organizing a Let’s Travel Club group trip on a Viking River Cruise, “Paris & the Heart of Normandy.” The trip includes an optional pre-cruise tour of Oxford,
England, to visit Highclere Castle (the “real Downton Abbey”), Blenheim Palace, and more. We board the high-speed Eurostar train in London, which will take us to Paris.
Looking ahead to 2027, in collaboration with Overseas Adventure Travel, Bruce and Pam Schroeder, founding members of Let’s Travel Club, have planned a group trip, “Exploring South America: Rio, Buenos Aires, Patagonia, and Chilean Fjord Cruise.” This trip is for Let’s Travel Club members and is scheduled for Jan. 30 through Feb. 19, 2027.
