On April 5 the Quail Creek Billiards Club (QCBC) hosted Rincon West in the Billiards Room of the Madera clubhouse. For both teams it was their last 8-ball tournament of the season in the Southern Arizona Billiards League.

QCBC triumphed, with 30 games to Rincon West’s 18 games. QCBC came from behind. After the first round of four matches, QCBC was down by one match. QCBC’s diligent effort brought them to a definitive victory.

The 2024-25 season had been challenging for the QCBC Travel Team, but they recaptured and displayed their grit, spirit, and talent in this final competition of the season.

Team photos were taken at the completion of the tournament, and both teams went to the Grill for lunch.

The QCBC Travel Team players were John Andersen, Gerry Bates, Bob Coulter, Lenny Friedman, Art Lynch, Mike Ohrel, Manny Quijada, Jerry Sameshima, and Dave Sypkens. Dennis Desmond, the director of the QCBC Travel Team, congratulates all the players for an outstanding accomplishment.

The Southern Arizona Billiards Tournament will begin again in October of 2025 and run through April of 2026. The QCBC competitors will be back and ready for the new season.
