New Charter Group to Serve Members of Quail Creek

Julie Sherwood, Gary Reed, and Bobbi Gordon

At the quarterly meeting on June 10, the QCPOA Board unanimously approved the new charter group Partners Losing Partners Outreach (PLPO). Our mission is to serve as a resource group for Quail Creek residents who have recently lost a spouse/life partner. The group operates exclusively for the purpose of providing helpful, educational, informational, and practical resource documents after the loss of a partner through death.

Prior to the inception of PLPO, women in our community who lost a partner or spouse were served by The Women of Quail Creek’s YANA. However, there was no equivalent outreach for the men of Quail Creek. Seeing the need to serve the entire community, the idea for PLPO was created.

The group’s co-founders are Julie Sherwood, Gary Reed, and Bobbi Gordon. We currently have 30 Quail Creek members who have indicated their desire to serve as members. The first official meeting of PLPO will be in August (date and location to be announced).

Any member of Quail Creek wishing to be a member or learn more about our mission is encouraged to contact any of the co-founders:

Julie Sherwood at [email protected] or 425-260-7665

Gary Reed at [email protected] or 303-619-7660

Bobbi Gordon at [email protected] or 520-625-9353

Also, if anyone in Quail Creek becomes aware of the passing of one of our residents, please let Julie, Gary, or Bobbi know so the surviving partner can be contacted about outreach.
