Despite the putting greens being closed for two weeks for overseeding, several Lady Putters managed to earn $5 for scoring a hole-in-one on the Money Hole, the hole believed to be the most difficult by the volunteers who set up the course on a given Wednesday. Perhaps it was the morning when many Putters enjoyed an energizing ice cream sandwich breakfast before proceeding to the putting green that enabled three ladies to achieve that distinction!
Scoring one hole-in-one during the reporting period were Janet Wegner, Teresa Buttleman, and Linda Carver. Achieving that feat twice were Patty Hall and Sharon Minard.
Now that the mornings have cooled down a tad and fall is in the air, starting time for the Lady Putters is at 9 a.m., with check-in beginning at 8:30 a.m. The group invites Quail Creek residents, both owners and renters, to give putting a try. The weekly greens fee is $1. If newcomers decide to join after experiencing the camaraderie twice, annual dues are $20. Those joining between now and the end of 2023 will be considered paid in full until Dec. 31, 2024.
