Forty enthusiastic pickleball players joined in the Memorial Day Social for fun, camaraderie, abundant snacks, juice, and coffee. Sandi Hrovatin was on hand to sing the national anthem. She did a fabulous job, as we know it’s not the easiest song to sing. Bill Foraker provided the music, speakers, and microphones. He deserves a lot of credit and thanks because of all the set-up required. There were several people playing for the first time in a Quail Creek Pickleball Social, and we hope they had a good time and will return for future socials. Four board members also played in the social. Lots of prizes were given out to several lucky winners—just wondering why the wine always seems to go first.
Special thanks to our committee of volunteers who take the time to decorate the pickleball courts, shop for food and prizes, set up the day of play, clean up afterwards, and then take down the decorations.
