The Women of Quail Creek (TWOQC) is conducting its annual membership renewal drive. Many women have already renewed, but there is still an opportunity to renew your membership. It’s so easy! Just mail a check for $25 made payable to TWOQC to Barb Hunsinger at 2197 E. Desert Squirrel Ct., Green Valley, AZ 85614. If you are a new member, please download, complete, and return the membership application form located on the website womenqc.com to Barb Hunsinger.
Many members renewed during the two days of the “We Miss You Drive-Thru.” As part of that, 10 lucky women received a free membership for 2021. The winners are Jan Auflick, Jane Conaway, Pat Kanitz, Candy Kindsvater, Melanie Mott, Sylvia Perry, Caryl Reitinger, Susan Spooner, Lisa Stilson, and Frannie Vanselow. Congratulations, ladies!
There are good reasons to renew or join. Despite COVID-19, TWOQC is holding meetings again! With the use of Zoom, members were able to “attend” the annual membership meeting on Nov. 4. Many women logged on and listened to Becky Ashin, president, give an overview of the budget and the strategic direction of TWOQC. Members also heard from Nancy Jacobs, treasurer, on the financial health of the organization. Peggy McGee, director of programs, updated the membership on the many small group programs. If you missed the annual membership meeting, log-on to TWOQC’s website (womenqc.com), and on the right side of the home page, click on annual membership meeting for the video.
TWOQC continues to provide safe learning and engaging activities. In November, members learned about plants unique to the Sonoran Desert, made personalized grapevine wreaths, and had a coffee klatch get-together chat. These sessions were limited to six women and a presenter. There were Zoom webinars for more women to attend on holiday crafts and pruning your desert plants.
As you can see, TWOQC is offering many learning experiences and activities, so if you haven’t renewed your membership or decided to become a new member, now is the time!
