On a beautiful February day 300 women attended the Benefit Luncheon and Fashion Show put on by The Women of Quail Creek and the Quail Creek Relay for Life team. What a festive fun day it was. The women enjoyed a delicious lunch, a fun fashion show featuring the newest spring clothing, vied for raffle prizes, shopped at the Nancy Pantz Boutique and generally had a ball while raising funds for a most worthy cause. This year’s event was by far the most successful yet raising $6,672 for the American Cancer Society.
The decorating committee created a festive air doing up the ballroom in purple and white. Tables were beautifully decorated with birthday cake centerpieces made by the committee. The theme was Hope – A World with More Birthdays.
With 99 raffle prize baskets to choose from attendees had quite a challenge; so many of the ladies kept coming back to buy more raffle tickets. The raffle alone raised $3,171 from the donated items. Cancer survivors were recognized by a show of hands and the whole group sang Happy Birthday in their honor while enjoying the yummy birthday cake that was dessert.
TWOQC models paraded the ballroom wearing outfits from Nancy Pantz during the fashion show to oohs and aahs from the audience. Assisting them from the stage, Jerry Hutcheson and Mike Turner became the only men invited to a TWOQC event. Throughout the event, Cyndy Gierada added atmospheric music with her piano.
Co-chairs Nancy Jacobs and Ginny Hutcheson and TWOQC president Peggy McGee extend heartfelt thanks to all the many individuals and businesses who contributed to making the event so successful.
