On Sunday, April 17 at 3:00 p.m. the 60-piece Civic Orchestra of Tucson will perform the seventh annual Pops Concert at Quail Creek in the Crystal Ballroom of the Madera Clubhouse. Music Director Herschel Kreloff will be conducting the orchestra which is celebrating its fortieth year. This will be preceded by an hour of the smooth jazz of The Larry Redhouse Jazz Trio from 1:45 to 2:45 p.m. in the Copper Lounge. Two winners of the 2016 Civic Orchestra of Tucson Young Artist Competition will perform with the orchestra; Andy Li—Rachmaninoff Piano Concerto No. 2 Movement No. 1 and the Millennium Trio performing the Mozart Flute Trio. A raffle of valuable prizes will also be held to support the 2017 COT Young Artist Competition.
A cash bar will be offered for the event beginning at 1:30 p.m. The venue will feature Boston Pops style round table seating for 10 with single tickets also available.
