The 15th Annual Amado Chili Cook-Off and Randy & Rose Estes Classic Car & Motorcycle Show will be held on Saturday, March 7, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at I-19 and Exit 48/Arivaca Road, Amado, AZ 85645.
Each year the “Chili Cook-Off Like No Other” entertains more than 2,000 visitors.
Most importantly, it raises funds for the Amado Youth Center (AYC), providing supportive youth and family services in this rural community.
The AYC provides positive youth programs promoting self-esteem and resiliency, substance misuse prevention, and effective communication.
The Center also holds adult workshops to bring the community’s parents, grandparents, and neighbors together for support.
The Amado youth and teens will be helping to make the Amado Chili Cook-Off—their annual fundraising event—a great success at their 50/50 Raffle booth, demonstrating leadership skills and community engagement.
The Cook-Off is presented by Portable, Practical Educational Preparation (PPEP), Inc., the AYC’s 501(c)(3) fiscal agent. Sponsors can register and donate online.
All sponsorships, event registrations, and donations are tax deductible.
Parking is $5 or five cans of food.
A $10 chili handstamp buys unlimited chili tasting from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., or until the chili runs out. Chili tickets can also be purchased online for the same price at AmadoChiliCookoff.org.
The Car & Motorcycle Show will feature 18 trophies across nine categories. Registration is from 8 to 10 a.m. Voting ends at noon, with awards at 1:30 p.m. Online registration is $30. Day of event registration is $35 (cash only).
There will be more than 50 vendor tents!
