TRIPS planning January Chinese New Year event

The TRIPS committee is once again organizing a group for an afternoon and evening in celebration of Chinese New Year of the Pig 2019.

Participants are invited to attend the celebration program at the UA Centennial Hall on Sunday, January 27. The festival is planned by the growing Chinese community in Tucson as its celebration for Tucson audiences.

In past years Quail Creek residents have enjoyed the many cultural offerings including dance, instrumentals, choirs, solos and so much more. The entire production is sponsored by the UA Confucius Institute through the music department.

Following the program, the carpools will transfer to a local Chinese restaurant to enjoy a pre-selected menu of delicious Chinese dishes.

Tickets for this unique afternoon/evening are $50 per person. This will include reimbursed carpools from Quail Creek, festival ticket and the Chinese New Year celebration dinner, with paid tax and gratuity. As per usual, any alcoholic beverages will be on your own.

Registration for this event will be at the Concierge Desk by check only payable to Bonnie Hyra. Watch What’s Happening mid-January for registration details.

Information sheets are available in the registration folder at the desk. This event is only open to 32 residents of Quail Creek.
