The TRIPS Committee is once again organizing a group for an afternoon and evening in celebration of Chinese New Year of the Dog.

Participants are invited to attend the celebration program at University of Arizona Centennial Hall on Sunday, February 11 at 2:00 p.m. In the past folks have enjoyed the galaxy of cultural offerings from the growing Tucson Chinese Community. The program is sponsored by the University of Arizona Confucius Institute under the direction of Dr. Larry Lang of the University of Arizona Music Department.

The program will feature dancing, musical instruments, martial arts and much more.

Following the program cars will be motoring to the Chinese restaurant to enjoy a pre-selected menu of delicious Chinese dishes.

Tickets for this unique afternoon/evening are $50 per person. This will include transportation from Quail Creek by reimbursed carpools, parking, show tickets and the Chinese New Year celebration dinner, with paid tax and gratuity.

Registration for this event will be at the Concierge Desk by check only payable to Bonnie Hyra. Watch What’s Happening in January for sign-ups.
