Quail Creek to host Navy Birthday Ball on Oct. 12

This year, the U.S. Navy will celebrate its 244th birthday, and the Quail Creek Navy Veteran’s Association will gather to salute the greatest navy that has ever sailed the seven seas.

All Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard veterans, their families and friends, are invited to attend the Quail Creek U.S. Navy Birthday Ball on Saturday, Oct. 12, in the Madera Ballroom from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Tickets to the ball are $45 per person, which includes dinner and dessert. A cash bar will be available.

The deadline for ticket purchases is Oct. 1.

The scheduled guest speaker is Cmdr. Bradley Roberson, USN, (Ret.) the commander of Sahuarita High School’s Navy Junior ROTC. Cadets from the unit also will participate by presenting the colors and assisting in the performance of the Two-Bell ceremony that honors fallen shipmates.

Recommended attire is semi-formal, jackets with or without a tie. Medals and or service ribbons are optional.
