On April 9 the Quail Creek Fights Back Relay Team will walk from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the American Cancer Society Green Valley/Sahuarita Relay For Life event at the Rancho Sahuarita Clubhouse, 15455 S. Camino Lago Azul, Sahuarita, in honor of cancer patients and in memory of those who lost their cancer battle. Sign up now and plan to walk with the team any time that day. The team will have someone walking on the track from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. during the Green Valley/Sahuarita Relay event. It is okay to walk, run or even sit on the track during the event to honor a cancer survivor or in memory of someone who lost their cancer battle. It is a time to celebrate, reflect and listen to others who have joined in this fight to raise dollars for cancer research. Candlelight services after dark are a meaningful time to reflect on how cancer has affected our lives and those of our friends and those we love.
The Quail Creek team has raised $3,800 from the sixth annual Relay Garage Sale in November thanks to generous item donations from Quail Creek residents. The February 12, 2016, luncheon/style show hosted by The Women of Quail Creek and the Relay team will help the team reach their $15,000 goal to fund cancer research through the American Cancer Society.
