Madera Crystal Ballroom — The leprechaun knew that the No Frills/Lots of Thrills Golf Tournament would be as advertised—lots of fun for the 30 Quail Creek Lady 9er’s (QC9LGA) and their 30 guests from SaddleBrooke MountainView/Preserve. As each SaddleBrooke participant descended from the bus she was greeted by a Quail Creek player, shown where to register, given a goodie bag and escorted to her playing partner’s cart. It didn’t take long for camaraderie and blooming friendships to become evident everywhere. Lots of laughter—and some rather loud groans—could be heard on the golf course.
Confirming that both Quail Creek and SaddleBrooke ladies enjoyed the event, the following email was received by the Tournament Chair Jan Topolski from SaddleBrooke MPLN President Kathy Schoenwetter:
“On behalf of all the MountainView/Preserve ladies who were able to attend your event yesterday, we want you to know how much we appreciated your efforts. Everything went so smoothly; the game was fun and the lunch delicious! I didn’t open my goodie bag until on the bus but love the St. Paddy’s Day ball-marker and will test out the martini tee today.
Please forward this to your committee members to say thank you to each one on our behalf!” Kathy and the MPLN ladies.

As each team completed its round of golf, everyone moved into the festively decorated Madera Crystal Ballroom to have a delicious lunch and celebrate well deserved winnings. Adding to the “being a good host” principle, each guest received a 20% off coupon for the Pro Shop courtesy of our very generous Golf Pro Joel Jarass. “Let’s go shopping,” was heard throughout the ballroom. But first, winners were awarded their prize money.

Flight C 1st place – Chaille Womack, Kathy Moody, (SaddleBrooke) Joyce Sutay, (SaddleBrooke) Karen Koch.
