New swim instructor comes to Quail Creek

Joannie Eastridge is excited to teach swimming to Quail Creek residents. For many years she has been teaching swimming at all levels, non-swimmers through Masters swim team coaching. In addition she has been a competitive swimmer with many years of Masters Swimming and Open Water swimming experience.

Joannie is a Green Valley resident, having recently moved here from Michigan. She is a U.S. Masters Swimmer holding several National swim honors. Joannie participated in the Michigan Senior Olympics this past summer, winning two state records, 400 Individual Medley and 200 Backstroke. Joannie was an Adjunct Professor for many years at Eastern Michigan University teaching swimming, Physical Education and Adapted Education.

Individual coaching sessions are taught by appointment at the Anza Athletic Club’s lap pool. Sessions run for 30 minutes and a group of five sessions is strongly recommended.
