On February 20, The Quail Creek Mah Jongg players hosted a Mah Jongg Tournament for 44 Quail Creek residents and guests. Players rotated, giving everyone an opportunity to meet, greet and play with friends and neighbors. After a fun filled morning, the players gathered in the Madera Clubhouse for a lovely luncheon and prizes. $15 was awarded to Susan Kuehn, third place winner with 210 points. The second place winner of $30 with 300 points was Diane Sabo. And the first place winner was Joan Nix with 305 points. She was awarded $60 and crowned The Mah Jongg Queen. It was such a success, everyone agreed they’d like to see another tournament next year. We thank Jackie Hallett and her committee, Billie Harsch, Cindy Hogg and Donna Smith for organizing the event.
