Lady Putters and Lady Niners join forces

Although the morning started out cool as the Lady Putters and Lady Niners entered the Roadrunner course on April 13, by mid-morning things had warmed up and the ladies enjoyed the warm sunshine. The event saw 32 two-person teams, one from each golf group compete in the competition. The Niners hit the ball from the tee and worked their way down the fairway. Once the ball reached the green, the Putters took over.

After they completed play, the ladies adjourned to the clubhouse where the enjoyed a West Coast Salad with grilled chicken, topped off with a mixed berry cobbler with vanilla ice cream.

The winners were announced by flight.

A Flight: 1st Christi Tucker, Jan Ederle – 35; 2nd Pat Crane, Janet Wegner – 37; 3rd Kathy Coleman, Lou Moultrie – 37. A tie breaker hole was used to determine 2nd and 3rd places for the monetary awards.

B Flight: 1st Sherry Gall, Marci Yenerich – 37; 2nd Rita Staszak, Kim France – 39; 3rd Tied w/40 – Patty Ackerman, Frieda Hyles; Linda Roeller, Marilyn Gill; Sharon Haugo, Sherry Ameling and Althea Critchlow, Sheila Wyllie
