Who knew? The single most important hint on how to look absolutely fabulous is to feel confident with one’s looks. Think, “I look good!” and others will think so, too. That was the advice Tammi Graham from JusTammi’s Consignment Boutique stressed over and over to the 95 attendees at The Women of Quail Creek’s September program, Dressing on a Shoestring.

According to Tammi, there are five essential items that should be in every wardrobe: a cashmere sweater, jacket, black dress, trousers (not jeans) that fit and comfortable shoes. It isn’t necessary that everything match, but colors and patterns should flow together.

Tammi and her models demonstrated how a few pieces could be mixed and matched and how to create new looks without buying new items. She imparted many useful tips. “Wear the right undergarments when shopping for clothes.” It’s the only way to truly see how well garments fit and look. Don’t like those upper arms? You can still wear short sleeves with confidence. Pick a busy pattern that will bring the eye to the shirt and not the arms.

Lucky door prize winners went home with gift bags of jewelry pieces selected from the boutique. Two prize winners received $25 gift certificates donated by Tammi for JusTammi’s.
