Thank you to all our friends and neighbors who stopped by the Writers and Poets Club booth at the Quail Creek Fall Festival.
Nancy Strom, a member of our club, has published a delightful children’s book that could make an excellent gift for your young friends and family this holiday season.
Nancy worked on and published her first children’s book after she retired. The story, Scooter and Friends Take a Vacation, is written in rhyme and involves four animal friends: a red fox, a hedgehog, a beaver, and a raccoon. These pals go on their first vacation where they encounter more adventure than they had originally anticipated. The story is a fun romp for all ages and includes some valuable life lessons. It celebrates diversity through the inclusion of a variety of animals, both female and male; it shows children the importance of working together and how teamwork is rewarded; and it shows the value of listening, taking advice, and not being afraid to try something new. The book has been endorsed by Andrew Adamson, the Academy Award winning director and executive producer of the Narnia Trilogy and the director of Shrek and Shrek 2. Scooter and Friends also received a Readers’ Favorite Five Stars Award.
For Quail Creek residents, Nancy will sign the book with a note to the recipient and hand-deliver it to the buyer in Quail Creek for $14.99, the price at which it was offered at the Fall Festival. Otherwise, to order it online, the price is $16.99 plus the cost of mailing.

Happy Holidays to our friends and neighbors from the Writers and Poets Club of Quail Creek.
