The Women of Quail Creek to host a baby shower for National Guard families August 9

Janice Pell

The Women of Quail Creek thank everyone who has contributed so many nice baby gift items for the August 9 shower for expectant mothers of National Guard families. Seven of the twenty-five moms to be are currently serving in the National Guard. Donations are still needed to fill gift bags for the moms. Some suggested items include: fancy soaps, hand and body lotions, bubble bath, jewelry, scarves and boutique quality toiletry items. Anything that would make a mom feel special would be appreciated. Cash contributions are welcome and will be used to purchase additional necessary items such as diapers that may be needed to fill the baskets which will be given to each family. Checks should be made payable to TWOQC Charity Account.

It is only due to the extreme generosity of the residents of our community that TWOQC can show support for military families with this yearly event. Donations, either for babies or moms, and checks may be brought to the TWOQC meeting on July 28 or dropped off at any time to Peggy McGee at 1908 E. Longspur Place.

Donations may also be left at the Madera Clubhouse. Just look for the large blue box with the baby shower sign. Donations are needed by August 3 to give TWOQC gift wrap committee time to get all the gifts in the baskets. For questions about the baby shower contact Peggy at pjmcgee@cox.net or 207-6188.
