TWOQC (The Women of Quail Creek) Community Outreach Committee needs your gently used or new shoes and boots (including golf and other sports) and sandals. We will be paid for every 25 pounds of shoes we collect, and that money will be donated to support United Community Health Center and their programs. All shoes donated will be redistributed to micro-enterprise partners through Funds2Orgs, a for-profit social enterprise, and used in developing nations for impoverished people to start their own business. This is a win for a local charity, a win for impoverished people, and a win for keeping unwanted shoes out of our landfills.
Our shoe collection will officially begin after Jan. 1, 2026, but we’re asking you to start saving now. Every type of shoe or boot is acceptable, even sandals, as long as they are gently used.
Our committee appreciates that you may not want to fill your closet or garage with bags of shoes for the next couple of months, so we are willing to pick them up. Just text our committee director Roxanne Housley at 520-444-2737 and she will coordinate a pick-up time at your location.
