Driving through Quail Creek’s front gate, the Series Two Villas appear on your left, just past the pickleball courts. Unit 35A includes 104 villas, which began closing in November. Basalt Drive has three completed villas, all of which are inhabited. Other lots have been sold and are in stages of development. Blue Granite has one duplex, and others are on the way. As our Unit Rep, I had the pleasure of hosting a socially distanced, safe, outside birthday party for my villa mate. Ten of us gathered on my driveway, all in accordance with CDC guidelines. We had a fun and festive evening, complete with contributions of pizza, salad, chips and salsa, and, of course, birthday cake. It was wonderful, having a little celebration after a long year of near isolation due to our global pandemic. We are the “Villa People,” and we are really enjoying our new homes, along with the camaraderie amongst our neighbors.
