Luminarias Light Up Unit 25BC
Unit 25BC, which encompasses Thunder Bluff, Copper Valley, Stone Gulch, and the western end of Wrightson View, is one of the newer units in Quail Creek. Many residents have lived there only a matter of months, still settling in and waiting on landscaping. Unit Representative Liz Ashby wanted to bring the unit together for the holidays and asked residents to put out luminarias in the days leading up to Christmas.
Susan and Rene Hailey had moved into their new home in the unit weeks before but offered to play holiday music to spread the holiday spirit. Residents and friends turned up to enjoy the ukulele holiday music, and once darkness set in, the luminarias lit up the unit. Word spread about the luminarias, and cars from other units toured the unit to see the displays.
Liz Ashby hopes the holiday music and luminarias will be an annual event and that other units in Quail Creek might join in next year. Luminarias are an easy option to show the holiday spirit for new residents.
