TWOQC Will Help Courtney’s Courage

The Women of Quail Creek’s Community Outreach Committee is selling Jim Click raffle tickets to support Courtney’s Courage, a 501(c)(3) that provides assistance to families with children suffering from all types of cancer. Previously, the Outreach Committee has concentrated on in-kind donations to support various local charities, but this time they are branching out to do fundraising to help an organization that relies on cash to provide many of its programs and services.

According to Courtney’s Courage founder Kathy Zillman-Ogden, there are 10 children in the Green Valley/Sahuarita area being supported by the organization. Courtney’s Courage is dedicated to raising funds for childhood cancer research and to assist with support services for pediatric cancer patients being treated at Banner Children’s-Diamond Children’s Medical Center and their families.

Tickets may be purchased by contacting Peggy McGee at [email protected] or 520-207-6188. Tickets are $25 each or 5 for $100, cash or check. Drawing will be on Dec. 12. Prizes include a 2024 Jeep Wrangler, two round-trip first-class tickets to anywhere commercial airlines fly, or $5,000 in cash.

Later in the year, the group will be collecting gift cards for gas, fast-food restaurants, and grocery stores to help families who travel to Tucson on a daily basis to visit their hospitalized children.
