The Women of Quail Creek (TWOQC) Scholarship Committee needs your help, and it won’t cost you a dime! Do you know a graduating high school senior woman from Walden Grove, Sahuarita, or Rio Rico High School? Or an “older” woman (over 21) living in Pima or Santa Cruz County who is going back into the workplace or needs an extra class or certification?
If so, please let them know that both the High School and AWE (Advancing Women Through Education) applications are now available online on The Women of Quail Creek’s website at womenqc.com/scholarships.
These scholarships will pay up to $3,500 in tuition directly to a community college, trade/technical school, career certification program, or four-year college.
TWOQC is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to charitable causes serving the local community. One of its major endeavors is promoting educational opportunities for women by awarding TWOQC scholarships.
The TWOQC Scholarship Program began in 2016 when two scholarships totaling $2,000 were awarded. Fast forward to just eight years later, and as of 2024, the TWOQC Scholarship Program has, since inception, awarded a total of almost a quarter of a million dollars in scholarships to graduating high school women and AWE women over 21 resuming their education.
The application deadline is April 7. Interviews will be conducted over Zoom, and applicants will be notified of decisions in late April.
An Award Ceremony will be held on May 14 at the Madera clubhouse. This is an event you don’t want to miss!
