On March 29, eight The Women Of Quail Creek (TWOQC) members went on an excursion to Nogales, Ariz. They first visited the Pimeria Alta Museum located in the original City Hall of Nogales. The group learned about the history of Nogales. At one time, the museum was also a fire hall and jail center. The tour of the museum was led by local woman Chris Courtland, who is currently president of the museum historical society, and she was very fascinating with her details.

After lunch at the Rancho Grande restaurant, they stopped at the Paul Bond Boot Co. for a very interesting tour of the boot factory. Since 1946, this family-owned store has been crafting fine, American-made, custom cowboy boots. The group all learned much more than they expected to learn and left with the fresh smell of leather in the air. The workers were true craftsmen and artists. Anyone out there in reader-land interested in fabulous custom fitted boots? Visit the Paul Bond Boot Co. One might need to wait a year to get the special boots, so plan ahead.
