The Santa Cruz Valley Military Order of the World Wars Chapter will be hosting an event to pay tribute to veterans on Saturday, January 23 at 10:00 a.m. at the Sahuarita High School Auditorium. This signature event honors all those who serve the nation – whether in active military service, retired, the reserve or National Guard. The solemn observance also recognizes those serving in law enforcement, first responders and firefighters. Several Color Guards will participate in the ceremony. The Gatekeepers from the Ironwood Hills Church in Tucson will play an assortment of patriotic songs.
A Pearl Harbor attack survivor that resides in the Tucson area, southern Arizona WWII Air Corps Tuskegee Airmen and local and state government representatives are expected to participate in this year’s festivities.
The musical program will combine love of God and country and will highlight and celebrate all the potential, promise and hope through investment in our youth.
Parking and admission are free.
