Janine Baxter
May brought the Nurses of Quail Creek together at Janine Baxter’s home to share a meal and an evening with Joy Bulger-Beck, M.D. She is an internal medicine doctor at Banner Health as well as a clinical assistant professor for the University of Arizona. In addition, she is a certified menopause practitioner. We were educated about genitourinary syndrome of menopause, which included lots of great questions and discussion.
In June we met at the Sahuarita Food Bank and Community Resource Center. Under the direction of Chef Weezie Bryson, our group made cheesecakes with a patriotic/holiday flair. Afterward, we enjoyed a delicious luncheon prepared by Weezie.
Our next event is July 15. We will be meeting at 5 p.m. at the home of Jan Agner. We will begin with a potluck taco bar and then a presentation by LeAnn Leslie-Larson, MS-Ned, RN. She is with the Southern Arizona Nurse Honor Guard, an organization that exists to comfort loved ones and honor fallen nurses for their dedication and commitment in their compassionate service to others.
As always, we want to make sure to invite all nurses in the Quail Creek community to join us. We are always welcoming new members. There are no membership fees. We typically meet once per month, and nurses can participate in any and all activities that are of interest to them. If you have any questions, contact 2025 Chairperson Janine Baxter at janine_baxter@hotmail.com or 509-919-1399.
