On April 8, 12 ladies from The Women of Quail Creek (TWOQC) traveled to a sweet 5.5 acre preserve known as Tucson Botanical Gardens. We were not a bit disappointed, because on this bright, sunny day, the garden certainly had its shine on!

Two incredibly knowledgeable docents guided us through, sharing not just their knowledge of plants, but the history of the Botanical Gardens as well.

The dazzling rose garden was at its finest, with bushes in full bloom, and even the cacti were showing off their flowers. The butterfly/orchid pavilion was open, and the butterflies were most definitely showing off, landing here, there, and everywhere. To complete the display, two beautiful moths joined in as well!

The Great Garden Express train expedition was an unexpected surprise, offering a tour of lodges and missions made completely from plant materials.

And to wrap things up, we ate lunch at the lively and fun Zinburger where we munched on truffle fries and other yummy menu items!

Hostesses for the day were Carol Michels and Suzette Rosher.
