The Sahuarita Food Bank and Community Resource Center (CRC) tour went very well. In fact, the consensus was “Wow!”
Some women had not known that the Sahuarita Food Bank and Community Resource Center existed, and even those who did were unaware of the vast scope of what the Community Resource Center does. If there is a need, the CRC will either find a way to fill it or find the right organization to help fill the need. Their mission is not just to provide food, but to help people improve their lives!
Among its many services, the CRC even has a welding class, which currently has 27 prospective students, of whom four were picked for the inaugural seven-month course. After students complete this course, they will qualify for a job paying at least $40,000 to $60,000 a year.
As befitting a food bank, lunch was spectacular. The main course consisted of soup and salad, and dessert was pound cake and strawberries. All attendees were eager to repeat this trip!
