Two hundred twenty-eight seats sold out in under 50 minutes for the April 28 All-Quail-Creek night at Gaslight Theatre. Activities Council member Pam Rodgers orchestrated the event and collaborated with the Gaslight Theatre for a full-house buyout of the melodrama production of The Three Musketeers.
Epi Torres, director of banquets, activities, and events, worked on contracts and reserved a bus for all who preferred not to drive. Daryl Laux, website director, created marketing fliers and hammered out the details involved with reservations. Pam Rodgers, Dennis Murray, Nancy Hatch, Patty Zatkin, and Holly Crombie sold tickets, processed payments, and kept a long line of eager theater goers happy as they waited patiently for their turn. It takes teamwork to research, create, promote, organize, and execute great events for large numbers of people, and QC has an A-Team extraordinaire!
Show night was a fantastic success. The audience was a cheerful mix of first-time attendees and Gaslight regulars. Doors opened at 6 p.m., and the early arrivers found popcorn waiting for them at their tables and a program of the evening’s performance. Ten lucky audience members won $20 Gaslight gift cards. Terry Meirs was one of the excited winners.
Look for another All-Quail-Creek night at the Gaslight Theatre during the holiday season. Your Activities Council has already begun preparations and hopes to see you there!
